This book The Princess and The Pea story by Frances Bouda and illustrated by Pau Estrada is about a prince who really wanted to marry a princess, but he had to make sure that she was truly a princess. The prince went on a journey across the world traveling over many lands in search of his true princess. On one stormy night a shivering princess drenched in rain knocked on the kingdoms door, and the king was in disbelief.

The illustrations for this book has very vibrant colors and the detailed drawings allows you to know exactly what's going on in the story. The illustrations for this book being bilingual make it perfect for home and the classroom libraries.

I think that teachers and parents should read this story to their students and children because it is a wonderful story that entails that sometimes wishes do come true. Also this is a bilingual book for those children who may only read or speak Spanish could still enjoy this wonderful story. The teacher should ask her students the following questions.
1. If you had a chance to be a prince or princess, would you become one.
2. Do you think that you're able to tell if a princess is a true princess just by not being able to sleep on a mattress that has a pea underneath it?
3. When you grow up if you had the chance to marry a prince or princess, would you marry he or she? why or why not/
4. What is it about the story that you really enjoyed that story the most.

Classroom activities:
1. Create a make believe kingdom where the prince and princess will live once they have gotten married.
2. Describe the attire you will wear on a daily basis around your palace.
3. Create a set of rules that everyone in the kingdom must abide by.

The Please and Thank You Book written by Barbara Shook Hazen and illustration by Emile Chollat is about many different animals showing respect for others, some showing manners, some not having manners, some being messy, some saying please and thank you, some not being nice, some being sad and some sharing.

The illustrations within this book are amazing. It really shows in great detail with the animals either being messy, mean, sharing, and being very helpful. The animals really come to life within the book of the certain characters they are playing. The illustrations are bright and they show exactly what the animals are being taught in the book.

I really love the way the author rhymed throughout the book it really catches the readers attention. Not only did the author rhyme but the wording of the book was hilarious as well also.

Teachers and parents should read this book to their students as well as their own children. The Please and Thank You Book would be great for children from ages 1-6 but more so the younger aged children. I think this book would be great for students who are the only child and not use to sharing with other children. Teachers should ask the question to students. What does it mean to share? Should you always say please and thank you? What happens when you don't say please and thank you?

Classroom activities:
1. Conduct a class activity that requires the students to need assistant from a fellow classmate, resulting in the student saying please and thank you.
2. Have a clean up day around campus where the students must all work together in cleaning up the school grounds by putting all of the recycling items into a bin and trash in another

I would highly recommend that parents and teachers have this book on hand.

The book One True Bear by Ted Dewan is about a little boy named Damian who was looking for his one true bear. Bear after bear which came from Bear Force was not measuring up to the task of being with Damian. All of the other bears were terrified of going to be with Damian. However, this one bear Darcy Brewster was brave enough and volunteered to go and be with him.

The illustrations from One True Bear were actually drawn by several children. Not just one hand played a part with the beautiful illustrations that were displayed throughout the book. Illustrations in this book shows a very high energetic young boy who plays very rough with his toys but in the end, learns to love and appreciate this one teddy bear named Darcy Brewster.

Teachers should read this book to students because it will teach them how to respect their toys and if they don't then they wont have any left to play with. This would be a great book for children beginning from the age of 2 and up. Ask the students what do you think will happen if you tear up all of your toys? Do you think that your parents should buy you more toys if you don't appreciate them? Why or Why not?

Classroom Activities:
1. Have the students to bring in all of their broken toys that they believed could be fixed and brought back to life. The entire day of class the students will be fixing on their toys bringing them back to life.

2. Have the student think of ways in which they could have their own toy rescue going around in the neighbor fixing on the broken toys of young children.

I would highly recommend this book to young children especially those that are always breaking their toys.
